Hey girls, why let gender decide which sport you will get into? More than a gender discussion let’s make it an affair of interest. Gone are the days when you were sitting in the stadium stands looking at your male counterparts who were speeding the horse-tracks. Although, you can still enjoy seeing the sport while feasting on your snacks but if you wish to step down the track and give them a tough competition, then do not hold yourself back.

Since the victory of Payne, women never hesitated to jump into those stables and get the best horse for themselves to ride on. And if you still think that your gender is holding you from doing your heart, let me give you some examples you know. Rachael Blackmore (Irish Jockey winner of 2011), Josephine Gordon (Champion Apprentice Jockey 2017 and the Victoria Cup Ascot winner in 2017), Hayley Turner (a full-time jockey who rode around 900 races in her career), Bryony Frost (the most-regarded jockey winning at Cheltenham in 2019) and the list goes on.. These females have competed against a bunch of males and proved themselves to be nowhere behind in terms of performance and energy. 

Make it your profession or leisure-time activity, but you must go for it if your passion calls…

There are obvious hurdles in trying something new. The very first risk you take is that you are unaware of the procedure and risks. But isn’t this risk the same for males? Are they born players?
